The reading and book signing tonight went very well. There were easily more than 120 people who came for the event and the Chamber Chorale singers were excellent–several in the audience shouted “Huzzah!”, as they should. The readers also got a great response; it was  a nearly perfect reading location. I only wish there had been more chairs and more room. Half the audience had to stand.

I also loved the mix between community and university attendance. We have readings on campus, but the community readings have a different feel to them. Also, at Borders the coffee is close at hand and there’s plenty of ambiance to go around. We will be scheduling more of these events and make sure that they remain collaborative between different departments in the College of Arts and Letters.
